This
safari takes you
through Mto wa mbu
via Arusha
to this crater which is Africa's best-known wildlife viewing areas
and also one of the largest calderas in the world. Within its
walls are a variety of animals and vegetation.,including grasslands,swamps,forests,salt
pans and freshwater lake.You are likely to see lion,elephants,rhino,buffalo
and many plain herbivores such as wilderbeeste,Thompson gazelle,
reedbuck as well as thousands of flamingoes wading in the shallow
waters of L.Magadi,the soda lake at the crater's base.Not far,
you can visit the Olduvai Gorge a canyon 50km long and 90m deep.Thanks
to its geographical history,it is famous due to volcanic deposits
laid down in orderly sequence over a period of almost 2 million
years that lead to the discovery of a fossil 1.8 million year
old ape-like skull known as Australopithecus Boisei (Zinjanthropus)discovered
in 1959 by Mar Leakey.
Ngorongoro
Crater 3 Days
Day
1: Nairobi - Ngorongoro Crater
0800 hrs pick up at your hotel and arrive in Namanga border of
Kenya and Tanzania at 1000 hrs. After immigration formalities,
continue to Arusha for lunch. Proceed to Ngorongoro for overnight
on the crater rim. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day
2: Ngorongoro
0800 hrs ,after breakfast, taking a picnic lunch with you, descend
2,000 ft. (670 M) into the crater floor, for full day game viewing.
Break for lunch at Ngoitoktok springs picnic site. Ngorongoro
is the only place one would expect for sure to see the endangered
rhino. Needless to mention the animal varieties and abundance,
the crater also offers colourful bird life of all distribution.
Dinner and overnight at the Camp.
Day
3: Ngorongoro Crater - Nairobi
After breakfast at Ngorongoro, proceed to Arusha arriving in time
for Lunch. Proceed to Arusha arriving in time for lunch. After
continue to Nairobi arriving early evening.
The
